Singles and first adventures are paid when you book. Memberships are paid monthly, in advance.
Booking a seat
Every adventure has a date, a destination and eight seats. You book a single adventure whenever a trip has a free seat — when it's full, it's full. Booking happens in the Bark & Ride app, and each dog has their own seat.
Memberships
Members get a regular spot, so your dog's week has a rhythm.
- Weekly is one fixed weekday — four adventures a month for R1,400.
- Twice weekly is two fixed weekdays with priority slots — eight adventures a month for R2,640.
- Use them that month. Adventures don't roll over: any you don't use expire at the end of your billing month.
- Going away? You can pause your membership for up to 14 days a year, and your bill is reduced for the paused days.
Your dog's first adventure
Every dog's very first adventure with us is R250, paid when you book. It's once per dog, ever — a chance for your dog to meet the van, the handler and the crew before you commit to anything.
More than one dog
Each extra dog in the same household gets 15% off any plan, rounded to the nearest Rand:
- Single adventure: R332
- Weekly membership: R1,190 a month
- Twice-weekly membership: R2,244 a month
The discount doesn't apply to the R250 first adventure.
The Founding Pack
Our first members get a thank-you. Start a weekly or twice-weekly membership by 30 November 2026 and:
- A bonus adventure in your first billing month — on weekly, that's five adventures for R1,400. Use it that month; it expires with the month.
- Your price is locked until 31 October 2027.
- A Founding Pack badge on your profile, for bragging rights.
Offers don't stack, with one exception: the extra-dog discount works together with the Founding Pack. There are no promo codes — everyone gets the same fair prices.
Cancelling
- 24 hours or more before pickup: free. A single adventure comes back to you as credit, and a member can rebook that adventure in the same month.
- Less than 24 hours before pickup, or a no-show: the adventure is charged in full. The van, the route and your dog's seat were all planned around them.
Holiday closure
The van takes its own holiday from 13 December 2026 to 3 January 2027 — no adventures run, and none can be booked. December membership is billed only for the adventures we actually offer: two for weekly members (R700) and four for twice-weekly members (R1,320).
